CANARY ISLANDS – NEW PLACE-OLD FRIENDS

Greetings my friends,  in less than 3 days we have a record breaking 34 guests for the Canary Islands cruise.  It’s turning into a reunion of sorts.  Many thanks go out to my dear friend and avid world traveler, Ms Lucille Johnson.  Yes, she planted the seed, with this being on her list of places to see and as I choose to call it”Gettin’ It In”.  Bucket list is a bit negative for me and I never use that phrase.

Reunion??? Yes, Friends will be reuniting from as far back as South Africa 2009, 2014, Paris as far back as 2005, Egypt, Dubai, Greek Isles, Rio, New Years cruises, Jamaica 1999 & 9/11, North Sea Jazz Fests and those preparing to meet up in Australia, New Zealand and Barcelona.

This is to announce we were able to get a few more staterooms. MORE OF KAT’S KIBBLES & BITS

So many have been inquiring about what’s in store for 2017.  So far this is what we are working on.  Stay tuned because dates and rates will soon be announced

My very handsome cousins–Darryl, Van and the very hilarious PK; Gary, want KAT’S TAILOR-MADE ASIA back on the calendar since last year conflicted with Thailand’s New Year. You can expect to hear more on his one.  It will be TOKYO, VIETNAM and BANGKOK.

THE ESSENCE MUSIC FESTIVAL is taking their show to the Mother Land.  DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA situated on the Indian Ocean and will host it.  Word is that they will try it for 2016 and 2017.  Unfortunately, this year is out for me since its going to be in November.   My group will be there in October and I will be escorting a group in BRAZIL this November.

There are talks of a Spa Retreat in exotic BALI.  More to come later on this destination.

Attention: ALL CRUISERS —  a lot of us have sailed on CELEBRITY’S Solstice-class ships: The Exquinox and the Reflection.  Now we are headed to the CANARY ISLANDS AND SPAIN on Their sister, The Eclipse on a 10 night sailing from Southampton stopping at Madeira; off the coast of Morocco, known for its namesake wine and warm subtropical climate.  Tenerife; the saucy grand dame of the islands attracting over 10 million visitors a year.  Las Palmas; one of Spain’s Canary Islands off of northwestern Africa spiced up with an eclectic mix of other cultures, including African, Indian and Chinese.  The city is known for its duty-free shopping and its sandy beaches. We’ll make a stop in Vigo, Spain; an amazingly quaint ancient town full of surprises.    Then there is Lanzarote–one of the Canary Islands off the coast of West Africa, known for its year-round warm weather, beaches and raw volcanic landscape that looks like photos from the moon landing.   I was there with my mother in ’92 and she said as she shook her head, “see lots of old folks don’t believe they landed on the moon.  They think they probably just came over here and took some pictures”. Lanzarote is absolutely unbelievable.
