WINDING DOWN

The day spent at the Great Barrier Reef was awesome.  It will  long remembered by me. Just seeing everyone having a good time gives  me so much joy.   The day after, the group had a long day at Kuranda Gardens, saw Koala Bears – no Kangaroos but had a good time. However, Sandy and Chandra went to the Wildlife Habitat and there saw Kangaroos and Koalas.

My final dinner in Port Douglas was most enjoyable at “On The Inlet” –  open-plan alfresco, dining by the water. The food was top notch and I highly recommend it. We had a VERY early start the next morning (3am). There was an hour drive to the Cairns airport and a 5am flight back to Sydney.  Some were flying home to San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston while others had an Air New Zealand flight to Auckland. Marilyn and Barbara W were going later in the day (lucky ducks) to Melbourne (pronounced mel-bin). Also FYI:  Aussie’s  pronounce  Brisbane  (bris-bin)  and remember Cairns is not Care-ins but Kanz.

Thank you all for flying with me and especially to the shut-in who love to get stamps in their “passports” without leaving the states – Casso, CJ,  Dupree, Donnie, T-Dub & Lil Rico.

Next trips: Stroll Thru Black Paris – April 27, then  Afro Heritage in Colombia, South America May 9th.  See you soon~
